Catching Up

So its been awhile....

We have been much busier than usual. Two reasons:

1. Joshua has had all sorts of things going on. We found out at his 18 month check up that he is having some developmental delays (speech & walking). So, we are off to multiple evaluations for that. We know that he will be starting speech therapy soon but have a PT and OT evaluation tomorrow. He has also been having some strange episodes since he had the seizure in January. He turns red, gets warm, and then gets really tired. It seems to happen for 2-3 days every 2-3 weeks. So, we are having an EEG done Tuesday to determine if these are seizures. The doctor doesn't think they are but he doesn't know why this is happening. We are hoping that the EEG is normal. Please keep Joshua in your prayers. Then he had an ear infection on Memorial Day. He was running a fever of 103.1, so we got to spend the evening at the after hours clinic. We found out a few days later that he is allergic to amoxicillin, which he was taking for the ear infection. So, he had a terrible rash...looked like blisters on his hands and feet. It is almost back to normal.


2. We are putting our house on the market. We made this decision a few months ago, and have been working to fix all of the little things that needed to be done to get it on the market. We are finishing those things up. It has taken a lot longer than we thought & John's job has been much more demanding for the past few months than it had previously been. He has had to work so much for his job that it is hard to find time to get things done around the house. But, we are almost done & will hopefully have our house listed in the next week. We have loved living here...it is the only house either of us have had, so it is sad to leave. But, we know we will need a much bigger yard for Joshua to play in soon. We have no idea where we will move. We feel like we are on an impossible mission...finding a nice home in a good school district, semi-close to John's work & church, with a yard and at a decent price! We'll have to see how that goes!
