What a Day!!

So, I've had a crazy day & thought it might be entertaining to some of you....
Joshua has been sick with a cold or sinus issue all week & hasn't been able to go to school. So, I haven't been able to get anything done this week having both of the boys home. I have been wanting to go to the fabric store all week & finally decided to go after lunch today since Joshua seemed to be feeling better & wasn't running a fever at that moment. I pulled up & there were hardly any parking spaces. Timothy had fallen asleep....it was naptime afterall. So, I got the stroller out to take him in. As soon as I unfolded it, the front wheel fell off. Now, one side had lost a bolt (or something like that) several weeks ago & would sometimes come undone on that side but this is the first time the whole thing came off. Apparently the hardware was loose on the other side as well. I thought I could get it back together & it would survive one trip....I was wrong. As I folded it up, the wheel went rolling through the parking lot, so I had to chase it down a bit. I got the boys out & just carried Timothy in--thinking I could put the diaper bag & stuff I was going to buy in a cart & carry Timothy while he slept....and hope Joshua didn't run. I walk in the store & there are no carts. So now I am carrying Timothy, a diaper bag & a basket while keeping up with Joshua. The place was crazy busy. They were out of the scissors I went to buy & I couldn't find 2 of the other things I had gone for. So, after wandering around for a while carrying everything, I couldn't find an employee to help me. I went to the line for checkout & when it was my turn I asked the guy if they had any scissors in the back, to which he helpfully replied, "I don't know." I told him I couldn't find anyone else to ask & he told me they only had 4 people working....2 cutting fabric & 2 cashiers...really?? I bought my thread & came home & ordered the scissors on eBay, for half the price.
When we got home, Timothy didn't think he needed to nap anymore. Apparently at 13 months old you think 20 minutes is enough. By the time I started working on dinner, Joshua was running a fever again & Timothy was getting quite fussy. Did I mention he is teething too?? No nap & teething is not a good combination. I needed to get an oral syringe to give Joshua Motrin & realized I had moved them to a shelf I can't reach. I got a chair & climbed up to get the syringes. Timothy decided to pull the chair out from under me & I almost fell. I sat down on the counter because he wouldn't stop pulling the chair. Of course when I looked at him, he just smiled & went off pushing the chair. Now he is trying to push everything around the house :)
John came home from a stressful day at work. When I told him about our day at home, he suggested we end the day with brownies. I agreed....especially since it looks like I will be starting my day at the pediatrician's office tomorrow. At least John was able to get the stroller taken care of this evening.

after reading yours and angie's crazy mom stories - i think the obvious lesson to learn here is "don't go to fabric stores" :)
