New Information

I don't know how often this happens, but we found out yesterday that we were given an incorrect diagnosis for Joshua by his previous neurologist. He does not have a neuronal migration disorder....which is wonderful news. He does have some problems with his brain, and all of that is still a bit unclear. The new neurologist we saw says that the back part of his brain is not as developed as it should be. He said it looks like something happened during pregnancy that may have restricted blood flow to that part of the brain. John & I were so surprised about everything that we forgot to ask what to expect for the future. The doctor did say that speech & language delays, balance problems, & problems with visual processing would be expected with this. He also said that he didn't think the current seizure medication was working....which is what we thought since he is still having seizures every 10 days or so. He started a new medication today, so we are hoping that it will be effective. Joshua has more tests coming up which will give us more information. Thanks for continuing to pray for all of us!
